"PAPER MOSAIC"

Mosaics were traditionally made with bits of tile or glass, but it is possible to make simple ones using paper. They are a great project for school children to do while learning about different cultures throughout history. They are also a great project to do on a rainy day or over summer vacation. You can make paper mosaic masterpieces to frame and hang. You can also make paper mosaic masks to wear!

FINGERPAINTING

Fingerpaint is a kind of paint intended to be applied with the fingers; it typically comes in pots and is used by small children, though it has occasionally been used by adults either to teach art to children, or for their own use.

Although the name implies that the paint is applied with the fingers, expert use of this medium makes use of the hands and lower arms too. Use of the entire arm smooths the paint on the paper prior to more detailed modeling with the fingers and other parts of the hand. Sometimes sponges, cloth, and other tools are used to obtain a specific texture.

Crayon Blowing

Crayon art is artwork made or created with crayon wax.  There are several varieties of crayons - including conte crayon and wax crayon.  Example of crayon artwork can be seen from artwork individuals do as children.

"INDIRECT CRAYON BLOWING"

This is an easy, straightforward project that delivers a lot of graphic impact for not very much effort.

PROCEDURE
Step 1: Put a piece of clean paper in place on top of an old news paper to avoid melted crayons to stick
on the table.
Step 2: Peel off the back crayons and melt the tip a little.
Step 3: As the crayon melts, immediately blow the tip of the crayon gently on to the clean paper.
The crayon will have a different appearance, more like splatter paint.
Step 4: Repeat the process until you get the desired design.
Step 5: Let the paper with the melted crayon dry for awhile.

Step 6: Clean working area with piece of cloth.
